This year, at iKono Telecomunicaciones SA we are proud to announce our participation in AstriCon 2017 to be held in Orlando Florida next October.
AstriCon is the annual convention organized by the company Digium in which members of the Asterisk community from all over the world participate to present new features and tools that augment the already robust telephony application development kit that Asterisk is equipped with. . Likewise, exhibitors present projects that have been built around the Asterisk platform and that seek to incorporate cutting-edge technology to generate increasingly versatile and innovative solutions.
For those who are not familiar with the terminology, Asterisk is the engine on which all the software products that we offer at iKono to our clients are developed. Asterisk is one of the most influential platforms currently in the telecommunications industry and thanks to its constant evolution we can also improve our own products and take advantage of the tools that emerge daily.
Our participation in Astricon 2017 will not only be attendance at the event. In addition to the opportunity to listen to great and important representatives of the Asterisk community, we have two clear objectives: obtain certification as a professional in Asterisk by one of our engineers in order to have two certified people in the company and present a talk and an application that uses transcription, translation and speech synthesis tools to create a real-time dialogue between two people speaking different languages over a phone call.
