iKono at AstriCon 2017

At iKono Telecomunicaciones SA we are proud to announce our participation in AstriCon 2017, which will take place in Orlando, Florida next October.

What is the Astricon?

AstriCon is the annual convention organized by Digium, where members of the Asterisk community from around the world gather to showcase new features and tools that enhance the already robust telephony application development kit (ADP) that Asterisk offers. Exhibitors also present projects built around the Asterisk platform, incorporating cutting-edge technology to create increasingly versatile and innovative solutions.

However, for those unfamiliar with the terminology, Asterisk is the engine upon which all the software products we offer at iKono to our clients are built. Asterisk is one of the most influential platforms in the telecommunications industry today, and thanks to its constant evolution, we can also improve our own products and take advantage of the tools that emerge daily.

What will we do at the Astricon?

Our participation in Astricon 2017 will not be limited to simply attending the event. In addition to the opportunity to hear from prominent representatives of the Asterisk community, we have two clear objectives:

Obtain certification as an Asterisk professional from one of our engineers so that we have two certified people in the company.
Present a talk and an application that uses speech transcription, translation, and synthesis tools to create a real-time dialogue between two people who speak different languages through a phone call.

We are excited to share this news with you and hope to make the most of this event with the sole aim of continuing to offer the best to all our customers.
